Runner Tracking

The Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run offers tracking to friends and family as athletes cross timing equipment on the course and finish line using push notifications.

Family and friends can track the progress of athletes this year with either email notifications or push notifications on their web browser.

No app download is required and there is no set-up required by the runner. You give us permission to contact your device and the personal results show up in your device’s new notifications, just like a weather alert or other push notification.

You now choose email or notifications. If you give us permission, then that’s it!

Part A: Adding an athlete to be tracked

  1. Go to https://results2.xacte.com/#/e/2591/trackers
  2. If you wish to receive email notifications, click on NOTIFICATIONS and enter your email address.
  3. Click on the “TRACKERS” tab (upper left hand corner on desktops) or the four parallel bars (upper left hand corner on mobile).
  4. Enter the name of the athlete you would like to track and click on their name.
  5. Click RACE DAY ALERTS and select whether you want to receive email notifications or push notifications to your computer.
(note: Depending on your computer’s privacy settings, you may need to allow push notifications by following the instructions)
  6. Congratulations! You’ve added them to the list of people you are tracking. You can track multiple people by typing in additional names.
  7. Once you have your list of tracked runners, go to part B on Sunday.

Part B (Sunday): Following tracked athletes on the course on race day with push notifications on your web browser (“Maptrack”).

  1. On Sunday, go to http://results.xacte.com/?mid=58
  2. Click on the four parallel bars on the upper left hand corner and click on “Maptrack” (mobile) or click on “Maptrack” on the navigation (desktop).
  3. You will then receive push notifications on your web browser as your tracked athletes pass the various splits along the course.
