Shriners Children’s Fun Zone and Shriners Children’s Run at the Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run are back!

Once again, the whole family is welcome on race day to the Shriners Children’s Fun Zone and Shriners Children’s Run at the Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Bring the kids down to the Finish Line in the Navy Yard where the festivities start at 7:30 a.m. Events for your little runners include the Shriners Children’s Run and dashes for all ages. Fun activities like face painting, clowns and more will also be included in the Shriners Children’s Fun Zone.

Commemorative T-shirts are available for the first 500 participants and all Shriners Children’s Run participants will receive refreshments.

Entry fee is just $10 per child (Ages 2 and under FREE).

Children ages 2 to 5 will be in age appropriate dashes. Fun Miler Participants must be ages 6 to 12. This event is for children under 12 only. If you are over the age of 12 you cannot register for this event.

Online registration is now open, and you can also register at the Health & Wellness Expo in the Shriners Children’s Fun Zone (May 3 and May 4) or register at the FINISH line on Pattison Avenue starting at 7:00 a.m. on Race Day.

Event day schedule (May 5, 2024):

Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. at the Navy Yard
Festivities or Kids Activities start at 7:00 a.m.
Shriners Children’s Run starts at 7:30 a.m. (ages 6 through 12)
Age-Group Dashes begin at 8:00 a.m. (ages 2 through 5)
All Shriners Children’s Fun Zone Activities will end by 11:00 a.m.

Please note that parents must be present with their children.
