Elite runners

We allow select runners to run the race as an elite or a seeded entry. We base these entries on time.

Elite entry

Elite entries are the first runners to start the race and line up in the first corral. To qualify as an elite runner, you must document an elite performance from the past two years better or equal to:

  • Elite male: 50:00
  • Elite master male: 53:00
  • Elite female: 1:00:00
  • Elite master female: 1:03:00

If you believe you qualify, submit your request with a link to a results page from a 10-miler, half marathon, or marathon within the past two years to [email protected]. Please type “Elite/Complimentary entry request” in the subject line.

Seeded entry

Seeded entries start the race right after elite entries. They line up with the elite runners in the first corral. To qualify as a seeded runner, you must document a 10-mile race performance from the past two years better or equal to certain qualifying times. Please refer to the chart below.

If you believe you qualify, submit your request with a link to a results page from a 10-miler, half marathon, or marathon within the past two years to [email protected]. Please type “Seeded placement request” in the subject line.

We recommend that you register for the lottery while you wait for confirmation of your seeded entry status, as you are not granted an entry fee waiver.

Please note: Placement in the first corral does not provide a waiver of the entry fee. Space is limited, and restrictions may apply. We are not responsible for unreceived or lost requests. Submission does not guarantee acceptance.
