Training for the big race is just as important as running it. Whether you are training with a group or on your own, here are some great resources to help you prepare.

At Penn Sports Medicine, we understand that so much of a runner’s success depends on commitment and careful preparation. We also realize how much an injury can stand in the way of you reaching your athletic goals. As the Official Medical Provider of the Blue Cross Broad Street Run, we will be with you every step of the way. Blue Cross Broad Street Run Medical Co-Directors, Alexis S. Tingan, MD, and John M. Vasudevan, MD, CAQSM, are here with their team of Penn Sports Medicine experts to help you stay healthy, avoid injury, and improve performance — before, during, and after race day.

Group training

You don’t have to train alone. There are groups of locals to run with at your pace or help to push you harder to improve your time.

Team Philly

Join Team Philly Race Training led by three-time Top 5 Blue Cross Broad Street Run finisher Ross Martinson. The program is geared toward beginner and intermediate runners who want to prepare for the most popular 10-miler in the country.

Online training
