Run for Charities

If you didn’t get into the race through the lottery, running for a charity is a great option! You will still get to run the race, and you are helping worthy causes.

Many of the race’s charities offer spots on their race teams — all you have to do is raise money for their organizations through sponsorships.

American Cancer Society

Celebrate your personal triumph along Broad Street by helping the American Cancer Society beat cancer. The American Cancer Society has spots available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Your registration with DetermiNation is also your registration in the race.

Students Run Philly Style

The ambitious young students who are part of Students Run Philly Style are now a fixture of the Blue Cross Broad Street Run. Students Run Philly Style is the only mentorship program in Philadelphia that provides long-distance run training to help young people succeed in life.

Back on my Feet

Back on My Feet (BoMF) assists many individuals experiencing homelessness achieve not only in their goal of crossing a finish line but also in their goal of reaching independence and self-sufficiency.

This national organization, operating in 12 major cities coast to coast, combats homelessness through the power of running, community support and essential employment and housing support.

Fairmount Park Conservancy
