Because registration for the 2012 Blue Cross Broad Street Run exceeded wildest expectations with over 30,000 runners registering in a record five hours. The event institued a second chance lottery for an additional 2,500 runners to be permitted into the event.
The lottery closed at 11:59PM on Friday, February 24th and was selected over the weekend of February 25th and 26th. All registrants - those chosen and those not chosen - were notified by email and could verify their status via search form on the broadstreetrun.com website.
The race has already taken place and the lottery confirmation search is therefore no longer available.
