Team Competition - SCORED BY CHIP TIME IN 2010
This section is for competitive teams running in the race.
Individuals who are participating with a non-competitive group (which are not considered teams by Blue Cross Broad Street Run) MUST register individually. Competitive Teams
Welcome to the 2010 Blue Cross Broad Street Run, America’s Largest Ten Miler.
We are excited to announce that, in 2010, Team Registration will be done online. No more collecting individual entry forms! Each team member will register individually online and sign a waiver electronically. You should send an e-mail to BSRHelp@aim.com or call the race hotline at 215-683-3594 if you have concerns with this new procedure.
The procedure will be as follows:
- Each team from your Club/Corporation must have a participating CAPTAIN, CHOSEN FROM THE MEMBERS OF THE TEAM.
- Each team must also have a UNIQUE name and password, so we recommend that you decide on these and share this information with your designated captain(s).
- The designated captain(s) will use the unique team name and password when completing the online registration process, per the instructions below.
- Teams are limited to five members. The top three finishers score for the team. For the Coed divisions, the top female time will be combined with the two top runners to score the team.
Divisions:
| Open Male: | 5 members. Fastest three members score. |
| Open Female: | 5 members. Fastest three members score. |
| Masters Male: | 5 members. Fastest three members score. |
| Masters Female: | 5 members. Fastest three members score. |
| Coed Open | 5 members. Fastest three members score. (one must be a woman). |
| Coed Master | 5 members. Fastest three members score. (one must be a woman). |
Team Captain Registration and Team Creation
- The designated CAPTAIN will choose Team Registration > Club -or- Corporate Team Registration – Team CAPTAINS as the category when he/she registers online.
- To create the team when he/she registers for the race, the designated CAPTAIN will type in the unique team name and password that you provide. In the event the CAPTAIN forgets/loses the team password, if you can’t help them, please send an e-mail to BSRHelp@aim.com for assistance.
- The rest of the online registration process is the same for everyone except that the team fee is due at the end of the process. See Team Registration Fees below.
Team Member Registration
- Team members will choose Team Registration > Club -or- Corporate Team Registration – Team Members as the category when they register online.
- On the next screen, members will choose their team name from the drop-down menu of existing teams and enter the correct password to join the team.
- The rest of the online registration process is the same for everyone except that no payment is due for team members if they use the proper team password.
Team Registration Fees
The team entry fee is: Club Fee: $ 225 / Corporate Fee: $ 250 (includes the individual runner fee)
The team fee can be paid
- By credit card online: by each designated CAPTAIN when he/she registers and creates the team.
- By mail: If credit card payment by individual CAPTAIN(S) is not an option for your Club/Corporation, please send an e-mail to bsrhelp@aim. to obtain a coupon code that can be used during checkout. Please follow the instructions below to pay your team fee(s).
Payment by mail:
- IF YOU AS THE TEAM COORDINATOR WILL BE ISSUING ONE CHECK FOR ALL OF YOUR TEAMS, Your team entry fee(s) must be RECEIVED BY MARCH 31, 2010 at the following address: Blue Cross Broad Street Run, P.O. Box 1552, West Chester, PA 19380
- Make checks payable to: Greater Philadelphia Affairs Coalition
- Please provide a list of the team names and team members for whom payment is being made.
If payment is not received by the deadline, YOUR TEAM ENTRY/ENTRIES WILL BE CANCELLED AND RETURNED TO THE GENERAL POOL OF ENTRIES. As we expect the 30,000 runner cap to be met in early April, we DO NOT PLAN ON holding team registration spots open after March 31.
Seeded Corral Positioning
In 2010 we will again be utilizing a corralled, wave system at the start. Corral assignment will be based upon the anticipated finish time that the runner provides when he/she registers. This is being used to ensure a smooth start of the race.
All race number and corral assignment will be forwarded to the runners via e-mail in late April.
Race Day Pick Up Option
Team members do not have the option of selecting race day pick-up when they register. If any of your team members wish to pick-up on race day, please enclose the $20.00 fee along with the name of the person who has selected this option when you submit your team registration fee(s) to: Blue Cross Broad Street Run, P.O. PLEASE NOTE: THE NUMBER OF REGISTRANTS IN THE 2010 BLUE CROSS BROAD STREET RUN WILL BE CAPPED AT 30,000 RUNNERS. YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM EARLY.
