Team Competition - SCORED BY CHIP TIME IN 2012
Team Registration opens February 15, 2012
This section is for Club and Corporate competitive teams running in the race. Groups of recreational runners who wish to participate together are not considered teams and must register individually. THERE IS NO GROUP REGISTRATION OPTION.
Welcome to the Blue Cross Broad Street Run, America’s Largest Ten Miler.
We are excited to announce that Team Registration will be done online in 2012. No more collecting individual entry forms! Each team member will register individually online and sign a waiver electronically.
The procedure will be as follows:
- Each team from your Club/Corporation must be set up and paid for before your team members can register individually. THE PERSON WHO CREATES THE TEAM MUST REGISTER AS AN INDIVIDUAL AFTER THE TEAM HAS BEEN CREATED.
- Each team must also have a UNIQUE name and password, so we recommend that you decide on these and share this information with your team members.
- ALL team members will use the unique team name and password when completing the online registration process, per the instructions below.
- Teams are limited to five members. The top three finishers score for the team. For the Co-ed divisions, the top female time will be combined with the two top male runners to score the team.

Corporate Team Criteria:
In order to register as a Corporate Team the criteria listed below must be met by all five members:
• Must be employed by the Corporation registering the team, working at least 24 hours per week.
• Must have been employed by the Corporation for at least three months
• Must be 18 years of age
Corporate Team members may be required to provide proof of employment.
Club Team Criteria:
In order to register as a Club Team all five team members must be affiliated with an established local running club. Proof of affiliation may be required.
Team registration is not for groups of individuals who wish to run together.
During team creation, you will choose Team creation and select either Club -or- Corporate Team Registration -
- To create the team, the person creating the team will type in the unique team name and password that you provide. In the event the team creator forgets/loses the team password, please send an e-mail to BSRHelp@aim.com for assistance.
- Once the team is created, all five members are required to register as team members. Team members should select their team name from the drop down menu. Members will be required to provide the team password to register.
- ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST BE REGISTERED BY FEBRUARY 22, 2012
Team Registration Fees
The team entry fee is: Club Fee: $ 250 / Corporate Fee: $ 275 (includes the individual runner fee)
The team fee can be paid
- By credit card online: when the team is created.
- By mail: If credit card payment by the team creator is not an option for your Club/Corporation, please send an e-mail to bsrhelp@aim. to obtain a coupon code that can be used during checkout. TEAM COUPON CODES WILL BE ISSUED THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 6TH. Please follow the instructions below to pay your team fee(s).
Payment by mail:
- IF YOU AS THE TEAM COORDINATOR WILL BE ISSUING ONE CHECK FOR ALL OF YOUR TEAMS, Your team entry fee(s) must be RECEIVED BY MARCH 15, 2012 at the following address: Blue Cross Broad Street Run, P.O. Box 1552, West Chester, PA 19380
- Make checks payable to: Urban Affairs Coalition. Please provide a list of the team names and team members for whom payment is being made.
If payment is not received by the deadline, YOUR TEAM ENTRY/ENTRIES WILL BE CANCELLED AND RETURNED TO THE GENERAL POOL OF ENTRIES.
Seeded Corral Positioning
In 2012 we will again be utilizing a corralled, wave system at the start. Corral assignment will be based upon the anticipated finish time that the runner provides when he/she registers. This is being used to ensure a smooth start of the race.
All race number and corral assignment will be forwarded to the runners via e-mail in late April.
Tech -shirts/Race Day Pick Up Options
Team members who wish to either upgrade to a tech shirt or pick up their packet on race day must pay the fees for these options during their individual registration process.
PLEASE NOTE: THE NUMBER OF REGISTRANTS IN THE 2012 BLUE CROSS BROAD STREET RUN WILL BE CAPPED AT 30,000 RUNNERS. YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM EARLY.
